The Fleet Lead is responsible for managing the company’s fleet of vehicles and forklifts in multiple locations. This includes overseeing vehicle and forklift maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, scheduling, and optimizing fleet operations. - · Ensure all vehicles and forklifts are maintained in good working condition, conducting regular inspections and managing maintenance schedules.
- · Lead and manage the mechanical workshops, ensuring that all repair and maintenance tasks for vehicles and forklifts are executed in a timely and effective manner.
- · Supervise and coordinate daily activities in the workshops, ensuring high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- · Lead and support the team, utilizing Agile practices to enhance team
communication,
task p
rioritization,
and overall workflow.
- · Work closely with vendors to coordinate timely delivery of parts and services, minimizing downtime and ensuring that fleet operations run smoothly.
- · Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, ensuring that they meet the company's service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
- · Manage and control the fleet budget, encompassing repairs, replacements, licensing status, fuel, and other related expenses.
- · Monitor, measure, and report on fleet performance for each vehicle and forklift, identifying areas for improvement.
- · Implement strategies to minimize vehicles and forklifts breakdown times.
- · Conduct visual monitoring of driver behavior and overall fleet status.
- · Review invoices from outsourced suppliers to confirm that all repairs comply with the fleet quality policy.
- · Uphold a strong commitment to safety regulations and company policies.
ARE THSES YOUR SECERET INGRIDENTS
- · Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, preferably Automotive.
- · 3 to 5 years of experience in aftersales and maintenance service or relevant industry.
- · Proven experience in managing a team and overseeing fleet operations.
- · Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
- · Strong organizational and time management skills.
- · Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- · Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies efficiently
- · Ability to lead a team-based approach to
decision-makin
g.
- · Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- · FMCG operations experience.
- · Passion for continuous improvement, leveraging Agile methodologies to enhance operational processes.
