We are seeking a
Fleet Maintenance Engineer
to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of the company’s vehicle fleet. The role ensures optimal fleet performance, cost efficiency, safety compliance, and minimal downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, manage, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for company vehicles.

Monitor fleet performance, breakdown trends, and maintenance costs.

Ensure vehicle availability and roadworthiness at all times.

Coordinate with workshops, suppliers, and spare parts vendors.

Prepare and follow up on maintenance schedules, service records, and documentation.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle issues and ensure proper repair.

Control maintenance budgets and optimize costs.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.

Manage vehicle inspections, licensing, and insurance follow-ups.

Prepare periodic maintenance and performance reports.

Support procurement in selecting vehicles, spare parts, and service providers.

Coordinate with drivers and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

1-3 years of experience in fleet or automotive maintenance.

Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical).

Experience managing vehicle fleets (passenger cars, vans, trucks – as applicable).

Ability to read and analyze maintenance data and reports.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Good command of MS Excel and maintenance tracking systems.

Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
-
Valid driving license is preferred.
