Job Title: Fleet Mechanic – Heavy & Light Vehicles

Job Summary

The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy and light vehicles within the logistics fleet to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role includes preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, diagnostics, and maintaining service records for all company vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for heavy and light vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and air conditioning systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
• Attend vehicle breakdowns and emergency roadside repairs when required.
• Use diagnostic tools and computerized testing equipment for troubleshooting.
• Replace defective parts and ensure proper installation and testing.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Coordinate with fleet supervisors regarding vehicle condition and repair status.
• Ensure workshop cleanliness and adherence to safety procedures.
• Monitor spare parts usage and report inventory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement in fleet reliability and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI certification in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet maintenance for heavy and light vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of diesel and petrol engines.
• Experience with trucks, trailers, vans, forklifts, and commercial vehicles preferred.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults independently.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and workshop procedures.
• UAE driving license preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge for maintenance reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency repairs.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month

Experience:

• heavy vehicle maintenance : 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Automobile Engineering Diploma or equivalent (Required)
