Fleet & Operations Coordinator

Med Ride Transportation is a growing Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company serving multiple counties across Arizona. Our priority is keeping our vehicles running and our drivers supported in the field.

Position Overview

We are looking for someone who can take the lead on vehicle-related issues and driver support. This role is ideal for someone who has basic mechanical knowledge and can confidently guide drivers through common vehicle problems in real time.

You will also be cross-trained in dispatch and operations support, but the primary focus of this role is fleet support and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities Vehicle & Fleet Support (Primary Focus)

• Act as the main point of contact for driver-reported vehicle issues
• Troubleshoot common problems over the phone (battery, tire, overheating, warning lights, etc.)
• Guide drivers step-by-step on what to do in real time
• Determine when issues can be resolved in the field vs. when escalation is needed
• Coordinate repairs, towing, or maintenance as needed
• Track vehicle status and ensure fleet readiness

Driver Support

• Support drivers during active shifts when issues arise
• Communicate clearly and calmly in time-sensitive situations
• Help drivers make safe and efficient decisions

Operations & Dispatch Support (Secondary)

• Assist dispatch and operations as needed
• Cross-train in dispatch functions for backup coverage
• Support communication and coordination across the team

Administrative Tasks

• Maintain logs and records for vehicle issues and maintenance
• Track recurring vehicle problems
• Assist with basic reporting and documentation

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of vehicle issues and troubleshooting (not a mechanic, but must understand common problems)
• Ability to guide others through problem-solving over the phone
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Reliable and team-oriented

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with fleet vehicles, delivery, transportation, or auto-related roles
• Former driver, fleet assistant, or service advisor experience is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
