Fleet Planner

Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM | Afternoon/Evening Shift

Magnum is hiring an LTL PM Fleet Planner to build and dispatch efficient P&D (pickup & delivery) routes while supporting evening terminal operations. This role is critical to ensuring freight is routed accurately, deliveries stay on schedule, and communication flows smoothly between dock operations, drivers, and leadership teams.

What You'll Do

  • Build and optimize P&D routes using routing and dispatch software
  • Dispatch drivers and ensure routes are efficient and completed on time
  • Ensure all shipment paperwork and operational data are processed accurately
  • Identify and resolve routing or freight issues quickly and efficiently
  • Coordinate appointments and special handling of freight to support successful deliveries
  • Verify communication between dock staff, drivers, and operations teams regarding freight concerns or routing changes
  • Share operational and dock performance insights with leadership to support accountability and continuous improvement
  • Promote a safe work environment and enforce company work rules and safety standards
  • Support daily operations and complete additional duties as assigned

We are seeking an organized and customer-focused professional with strong administrative and communication skills. Ideal candidates have:

  • Experience with data entry, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • High attention to detail when composing, typing, and reviewing documents
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree (or higher) preferred
  • Knowledge of the transportation or logistics industry preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position is performed in an office or operations environment, where employees work with computers, phones, and communication systems throughout the day. The role requires extended periods of sitting or standing, as well as continuous communication with internal teams and customers. Employees must be able to maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced setting, with occasional lifting or carrying of up to 25 pounds, and be able to travel as needed.
