Description
The Fleet Project Engineer is responsible for managing strategic engineering, procurement, and operational projects that enhance fleet capability, reduce cost, and improve product quality. This role oversees the complete project lifecycle—from planning and stakeholder coordination to execution and post-project review—ensuring compliance with technical standards, commercial agreements, and airline goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management & Coordination

Lead engineering and procurement projects within the Technical and Operations departments.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time, goal-aligned project delivery.

Manage end-to-end project implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
2. Performance Review & Process Improvement

Conduct post-project reviews with teams and leadership to identify lessons learned and future improvements.

Provide feedback to enhance future contract negotiations and project delivery.
3. Contractual & Financial Oversight

Ensure all contracts and agreements meet business needs and cost control expectations.

Evaluate vendor and supplier performance against contractual obligations.

Act as the main point of contact for vendor disputes, ensuring timely, professional resolution.
4. Budget Management & Reporting

Monitor project budgets, analyze variances, and take corrective actions.

Prepare detailed reports for leadership highlighting budget performance, cost-saving opportunities, and financial risks.
5. Fleet Transition Management

Oversee aircraft delivery process to ensure all technical and contractual requirements are met.

Manage redelivery of aircraft at lease-end, ensuring compliance with lease conditions and technical standards.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Electrical, or Mechanical).

PMP certification (Project Management Professional).

Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Over 6 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in project management.

In-depth knowledge of airworthiness, aircraft engineering, maintenance, and technical operations.

Hands-on experience with aircraft delivery and redelivery processes and lease agreements.
