Fleet Sales Manager

The Fleet Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the fleet sales division of the company, managing a team of sales professionals, and driving sales growth by acquiring and maintaining business relationships with corporate, governmental, and large fleet customers. This role includes managing fleet accounts, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Sales Strategy & Planning:

oDevelop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed fleet sales targets.

oIdentify potential fleet customers and develop approaches for new business opportunities.

oCollaborate with the sales team to set quotas, forecast sales, and analyze market trends.


2.Account Management:

oBuild and maintain long-term relationships with fleet customers, including corporate clients, government bodies, and other large organizations.

oManage customer accounts, ensuring that service delivery meets client expectations.

oConduct regular reviews with fleet clients to address their requirements and offer suitable solutions.


3.Team Management:

oLead, train, and manage a team of fleet sales representatives.

oProvide mentorship and support to enhance the team’s performance.

oMonitor individual sales performance and help the team to achieve their sales goals.


4.Customer Service:

oEnsure excellent customer service by addressing issues and resolving complaints in a timely manner.

oMaintain high customer satisfaction by ensuring timely delivery and support.

oWork closely with the service department to ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards before delivery.


5.Negotiations & Contracts:

oNegotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with fleet customers, ensuring the profitability of each deal.

oEnsure that contracts are aligned with company policies and legal requirements.

oMonitor contract compliance and follow up on contract renewals.


6.Market Research & Analysis:

oStay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging markets.

oConduct market analysis to understand customer needs, preferences, and purchasing behavior.

oUse market insights to adjust sales strategies and introduce new offerings.


7.Reporting & Analysis:

oProvide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and market conditions.

oAnalyze sales data to identify trends, track KPIs, and develop actionable insights.


8.Cross-functional Collaboration:

oWork with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns targeted at fleet customers.

oCoordinate with finance and legal departments to ensure smooth execution of fleet deals.

oCollaborate with the inventory and logistics teams to ensure the availability of vehicles for fleet sales.


9.Budgets and Financials:

oMonitor and control budget of the department/business unit.

oReview and continuously update the financial tracking mechanisms and measurements in compliance with standard accounting principles.


10.People Responsibility:

oDefine goals for team members and evaluates performance as per the Elite Group performance management process.

oProvide feedback and coaching on an ongoing basis.

oIdentify training and development needs of the Department/Unit to ensure ongoing capability development.

oProvide guidance and ensure transparent communication to manage career aspiration.


11.Self-Management:

oSet performance goals at the beginning of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensure that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.

oStrive to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the role.

oIdentify the training and development requirements for self to ensure on going capability development.


12.Health, Safety and Environment:

oEnsure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.


13.Policies and Processes:

oProvide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of Department/Unit practices taking into account external and internal/ group level best practices to improve efficiency and effectively manage changes in business environment.

oManage the development, implementation and regular review of the Department/Unit policies, procedures and systems to ensure consistent and systematic application of best practices providing timely and effective support to concerned users.
