Position Overview
Two of our busy dental practices are seeking a Patient Services Representative to support our front office and deliver an outstanding experience for every patient. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, stays organized under pressure, and takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently. As a PSR, you’ll be a key part of the patient journey—from answering the first phone call to closing out the visit.
Schedule & Locations
This is a full-time, weekday position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. The role includes scheduled time at two offices:
- Portland location: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
- Biddeford location: Wednesday and Thursday
Reliable transportation between both locations is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and manage front desk operations with professionalism and warmth
- Coordinate appointments and maintain accurate schedules using Dentrix or similar systems
- Handle incoming calls, respond to questions, and assist with appointment requests
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding procedures, treatment plans, and payment options
- Address patient concerns thoughtfully and help resolve issues in a timely manner
- Ensure patient information is accurate, up to date, and compliant with HIPAA standards
- Assist with billing, collections, and related administrative tasks as trained
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth daily workflows
- Travel between clinic locations as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior experience in a dental office or healthcare environment preferred
- Experience with Dentrix or other practice management software is helpful
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including confident phone presence
- Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
- Basic familiarity with dental procedures, insurance, and treatment coordination is a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking
- Ability to stay calm, courteous, and professional in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $17.50 - $21.50 per hour
