Work When You Want — Babysitting Through Our App

Coastal Child Care is hiring babysitters for our occasional care app, designed for caregivers who want complete flexibility and consistent earning opportunities.

This is perfect for those looking to pick up shifts on their own schedule — whether you're a student, part-time worker, or just want extra income without committing to a set schedule.

How It Works

• No minimum hours or shift requirements
• Choose any jobs you want, whenever you want
• Most bookings are posted at least a week in advance, with some last-minute opportunities
• Accept jobs directly through our app with ease
• Build relationships with repeat families

Pay & Perks (Read This!)

• $20–$25/hour CASH pay
• All jobs are paid in cash — same-day payment from families
• 3-hour minimum per booking
• Opportunities for higher earnings through longer bookings & repeat families
• Total control over your schedule — work as little or as much as you’d like

You’ll work with children ranging from newborns to elementary school age, depending on the job you accept.

Expectations

• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to jobs
• Professional, dependable, and proactive
• Comfortable managing routines like meals, playtime, and bedtime
• While not required, bringing activities or engaging ideas is always a plus and highly appreciated by families

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of childcare experience
• Experience with infants through school-age children
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable, insured vehicle
• Up-to-date CPR & First Aid certification
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Non-smoker
• Must pass:
• Comprehensive criminal background check
• Social Security number & address verification
• National sex offender registry check
• Safe Sleep Training (provided by Coastal Child Care)

Caregivers may not bring their own children to bookings
