Flight Data Monitoring Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Flight Data Monitoring Engineer (FDM) to join our SMS Department in our Antalya Headquarter. The role with be in charge within the scope of Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) and Safety Management System (SMS).

Job Description:

• Oversee the smooth operation and maintenance of FDM-related software.
• Monitor and control the regular transfer and integrity of flight data.
• Perform statistical analysis and generate actionable insights from flight data.
• Identify risk areas and conduct thorough root cause analyses.
• Prepare comprehensive FDM evaluation reports and share findings with relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze safety reports and conduct detailed flight data analysis (FDA).
• Track safety trends and recommend preventive or corrective measures.
• Manage official correspondence related to FDM and SMS activities.
• Prepare and distribute safety bulletins to promote awareness.
• Serve as the secretariat for FDM meetings, ensuring effective coordination and documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments and external organizations to enhance safety outcomes.
• Provide routine data and information to regulatory authorities as required.
• Monitor industry-wide safety issues and assess their impact on company operations.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Conduct safety inspections and support continuous improvement initiatives.

General Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in FDM, SMS, or related roles.
• Strong ability to interpret flight data and perform error and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
• Experience with FDM software is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, control, and supervision skills with a safety-oriented mindset.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI).
• Knowledge of R or Python programming and familiarity with machine learning algorithms is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• For male candidates, completion of military service is required.
• Residency in or willingness to relocate to Antalya.
