Flight Line Technician Fueler I - FBO - FT

Lehigh Valley Aviation Services (LVAS) provides general aviation services to commercial, corporate, and private aircraft. In addition, LVAS offers concierge service to corporate and private aircraft customers in our Fixed Based Operations (FBO) facility.

Essential Functions

  • Provide fueling services for commercial, cargo, corporate, private, and designated charter aircraft.
  • Provide lavatory and water servicing for cargo, corporate, private, and designated charter aircraft.
  • Provide aircraft towing and marshalling, for corporate, private, and designated charter aircraft.
  • Provide ground power service, forklift service, and air stairs placement for corporate, private, and designated charter aircraft.
  • Coordinate and direct ramp movements for arriving and departing FBO flights.
  • Operate and fuel ground service equipment such as tugs, fuel trucks, and transportation vehicles.
  • Complete Quality Control and Daily Checks on fuel trucks.
  • Inspect /examine any equipment/ facilities before use. Communicate all maintenance, safety, or property issues to a Lead or management.
  • Provide escort services for deliveries in SIDA areas.
  • Perform duties of snow removal.
  • Successfully train to perform services for Part 121 Charter Operations
  • Successfully train to perform de-icing services for cargo, corporate, private, and designated charter aircraft.
  • Successfully pass all computer-based testing associated with computer-based training (CBT).
  • Have the physical ability and awareness to safely navigate in and around equipment and aircraft.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 99 pounds with assistance.
  • Professionally communicate over two-way radio, telephone, and email.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete annual, monthly, and weekly training as required.
  • Assist FBO passengers and crews loading baggage, catering, and cargo.
  • Additional responsibilities may include shuttle service for passengers and crew.
  • Light janitorial services.
  • Performs work as directed by supervisor in a safe manner, including protecting the assets of all ground equipment and the customers’ assets (aircraft).
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
  • Aviation industry experience preferred.
  • One (1) year of related work experience.
  • PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and other applicable computer programs.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to respond and perform in emergency situations and severe weather conditions.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.


Must- Have Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must wear uniforms provided (uniforms must be clean and presentable) and personal protective equipment.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license that meets insurance requirements.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays when required.
  • Successfully pass continual training, security and employment requirements.
  • Must possess acceptable English language skills to include speaking, reading, writing and comprehension.
  • Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to type, handle bags, boxes, objects or controls.
  • Vision abilities include, with or without corrective lenses, close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Sufficient auditory ability, with or without audiological devices, to decipher telephone/radio communications, interact with the public and others, decipher radio communications, and hear alarms, including vehicle and other warning signals.
  • Able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 150 decibels at times, hearing protection is provided and mandatory.
  • Have the physical ability and awareness to safely navigate in and around equipment and aircraft.
  • Able to tolerate exposure to air fuels, exhaust, and de-icing and other chemicals.
  • Able and willing to work in inclement weather, including extreme cold and warm temperatures.
