Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Floater to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans that align with our curriculum while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, and physical education.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods, including Montessori techniques.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress through standardized testing and informal assessments.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Ensure compliance with child welfare regulations and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or private school setting.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and literacy education strategies.
- Experience in teaching physical education or tutoring is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff members.
