Job Overview

We are seeking a flexible and caring Float Teacher to join our childcare team. The Float Teacher will support classrooms across all age groups toddlers, preschool by assisting teachers and providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. This role requires adaptability, teamwork, and a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom coverage and support as needed across multiple age groups.
  • Assist lead teachers with lesson plans, activities, and daily routines.
  • Supervise and engage children to ensure safety and developmentally appropriate experiences.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Adhere to licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies.
  • Implement positive behavior guidance strategies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or Early Childhood Education degree preferred),but not required
  • Previous childcare or teaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to different classrooms, teaching styles, and routines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must meet state licensing requirements, including CPR/First Aid certification and background checks.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
