Position Overview:

The Floater Teacher is a flexible and reliable team member who steps into classrooms across all age groups to support teachers and ensure children receive consistent, high-quality care. Whether covering a teacher’s break, helping during busy times, or jumping in for extra support, you’ll play an important role in keeping our classrooms thriving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate lessons and play-based activities
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment in each classroom
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families
  • Step in seamlessly across classrooms as needed throughout the day
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally rich learning space
  • Follow Kiddie Academy standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a licensed child care setting
  • 45 Hour DCF Training preferred (willingness to obtain within 6 month of hire required)
  • Strong adaptability—able to adjust to different age groups and routines
  • A team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Must pass all background and health screenings required by state licensing

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
