Floater Teacher

Children’s Lighthouse is seeking a flexible and caring Floater Teacher to join our team. The Floater Teacher plays a vital role in supporting classrooms across different age groups, from infants to school-age children, ensuring smooth daily operations and consistent care. This position is ideal for someone adaptable, dependable, and passionate about working with children in all stages of early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support in multiple classrooms as needed, ensuring continuity of care and instruction.
• Assist lead teachers with implementing daily routines, activities, and lesson plans.
• Engage with children in a nurturing and positive manner, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in line with licensing standards.
• Build positive and professional relationships with parents, teachers, and staff.
• Support classroom transitions, meal times, rest periods, and playtime activities.
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by stepping into various roles when needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous childcare or classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with multiple age groups (Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, and School-Age).
• Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
