Floater Teacher

Position Summary:

Do you love working with children of all ages and enjoy variety in your day? We’re looking for a Floater Teacher to join our caring preschool team! This special role is perfect for someone who is flexible, dependable, and ready to step in wherever needed. As a Floater Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to work with children from infants through preschool, supporting lead teachers, keeping classrooms running smoothly, and ensuring every child feels safe, nurtured, and inspired to learn.

What You’ll Do:

• Step into classrooms across all age groups (0–5 years) to support or fill in for lead teachers.
• Create a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, cared for, and excited to learn.
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and transitions that encourage children’s growth and development.
• Maintain a watchful eye on safety and supervision while engaging children in meaningful play and learning.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and staff members.
• Help keep classrooms clean, organized, and ready for little learners.
• Bring flexibility, teamwork, and a positive spirit to every classroom you support.

• Task-oriented and willing to take initiative to keep classrooms running smoothly.
• Experience working with young children in a child care or preschool setting preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
