Floating Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant (Full-Time) | Hillside Medical Group

Hillside Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our growing team! This role supports providers with clinical duties while helping deliver an excellent patient experience.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required




• Current Medical Assistant certification  required




• 1 to 3 years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting preferred




• Knowledge of medical terminology




• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment




• Strong communication and customer service skills




• Follows all HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines




• Willingness to be cross-trained as front office as needed




• Ability to travel between clinics based on staffing needs




• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Job Functions

• Room patients and enter appropriate information into the EMR (vitals, medications, medical history, chief complaint)




• Obtain and record vital signs




• Perform EKGs as ordered by the provider




• Prepare and administer medications as directed (IM and/or PO, per scope and training)




• Assist providers with medical procedures




• Stock and clean exam rooms; maintain supplies and equipment




• Support patient check-in/check-out as needed, including collecting copays/deductibles/coinsurance




• Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager
