Floor Incharge (Production)

Job Summary

The Floor Incharge (Production) will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of daily production activities on the factory floor of our foam mattress manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, quality standards are maintained, and all health and safety regulations are strictly followed.

Key Responsibilities

· Production Planning & Execution:

o Oversee daily production schedules and assign tasks to production staff, ensuring optimal utilization of machinery (e.g., foaming machines, cutting machines, quilting machines).

o Monitor production output against daily/weekly targets and implement corrective actions for deviations.

o Manage the flow of raw materials (chemicals, fabric, foam blocks) to production lines to prevent bottlenecks.

· Quality Control & Assurance:

o Enforce strict quality control standards for foam production, mattress assembly, finishing, and packaging.

o Conduct regular in-process inspections to ensure products meet company specifications and industry standards.

o Identify defects and work with the Quality Assurance team to resolve quality issues promptly.

· Team Management & Leadership:

o Supervise, motivate, and manage a team of production line supervisors, machine operators, and floor workers.

o Coordinate staff training on new equipment, safety procedures, and production techniques.

o Handle day-to-day employee relations issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure a positive working environment.

· Safety & Compliance:

o Enforce all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures, particularly regarding the handling of chemicals and operation of heavy machinery.

o Ensure all safety equipment is utilized correctly and safety incidents are reported immediately.

o Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment on the production floor (5S methodology).

· Process Improvement & Efficiency:

o Monitor production metrics, analyze downtime, and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste (lean manufacturing principles).

o Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical) or Operations Management is preferred. A relevant diploma with extensive experience will also be considered.

· Experience:

o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production management or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.

o Prior experience in a foam, mattress, textile, or related chemical/polymer industry is highly advantageous.

· Skills:

o Good leadership and decision-making abilities.

o Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control systems.

o Knowledge of health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.

o Proficiency in data analysis and basic production software/ERP systems.

o Strong communication skills in Urdu/Pashto (English proficiency is a plus for reporting).

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
