Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Floor Manager to oversee daily operations of assigned hospital floors, ensuring seamless coordination between medical, nursing, and support teams. The role requires strong leadership, operational oversight, patient service management, and compliance adherence to maintain high standards of healthcare delivery and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Floor Operations Management
- Supervise daily activities across assigned hospital floors.
- Ensure smooth coordination between doctors, nursing staff, housekeeping, and support departments.
- Monitor patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Ensure availability of beds and efficient occupancy management.
- Address operational bottlenecks promptly.
2. Patient Experience & Service Quality
- Ensure high standards of patient care and service delivery.
- Handle patient and attendant concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor patient feedback and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a patient-first approach across all services.
3. Staff Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise nursing assistants, ward boys, housekeeping, and floor coordinators.
- Ensure proper shift allocation and manpower utilization.
- Conduct daily briefings and ensure SOP compliance.
- Maintain discipline and professional conduct across the floor.
4. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, NABH guidelines (if applicable), and infection control policies.
- Monitor hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Report incidents, escalations, or policy violations immediately.
5. Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor medical and non-medical inventory on the floor.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement for replenishment.
- Ensure optimal use of hospital equipment and resources.
6. Emergency Handling
- Act as the first escalation point during emergencies.
- Coordinate rapid response with doctors and emergency teams.
- Ensure crowd control and organized communication during critical situations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration / Healthcare Management / Nursing / Any relevant field.
- 3–7 years of experience in hospital operations or healthcare management.
- Strong understanding of hospital workflows and patient care processes.
- Knowledge of NABH or similar healthcare accreditation standards (preferred).
