Floor Manager

The Hospital Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of assigned hospital floors, ensuring smooth coordination between clinical, nursing, housekeeping, and support teams. The role ensures high standards of patient care, safety, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management

• Supervise daily activities on assigned floors (IPD, ICU, Wards, etc.)
• Ensure smooth patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and support departments
• Monitor bed occupancy and patient flow management

2. Patient Experience & Service Quality

• Ensure patient satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly
• Maintain patient dignity, safety, and comfort standards
• Conduct regular patient and attendant rounds

3. Team Coordination & Supervision

• Supervise nursing aides, housekeeping, and floor coordinators
• Ensure proper duty rosters and manpower availability
• Monitor discipline, grooming, and service etiquette

4. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to NABH / hospital protocols
• Monitor infection control practices
• Ensure fire safety and emergency preparedness

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily floor reports
• Monitor incident reporting and escalation
• Coordinate audits and quality checks
