Floor Manager

Raydeo Enterprises is growing and are looking for an experienced Floor Manager in Commercial Construction with a passion for learning, winning, and advancing.

Floor Manager position is a full-time job managing, supporting and growing Metal, Millwork, Router, Finish, and the Prep Pack & Load departments representing the manufacturing chapters of all the production efforts of the team at Raydeo Enterprises. The safety of the employees is your highest concern. It is imperative that you act as a guardian of the budget for all departments. Accountable to safeguard the budgets and ensure they are kept and executed in the most resourceful way conceivable. This individual must retain exceptional skills and knowledge base in all materials. Hold proficient skills in Microsoft Office 365 and be capable of learning other software platforms utilized by Raydeo Enterprises Inc. This position is predominantly performed in the shop but could involve traveling to jobsites. Must have organizational skills and at least 10 years of successful experience with the capabilities of overseeing and supervising multiple departments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Attend Kickoffs for new projects as the Manufacturing and Installation Representative
  • Work with supervisors within Raydeo to develop highly efficient plans for all production, logistics and installation methods.
    • Review job(s) throughout job life cycle with industry supervisors to ensure scope of work awarded is met and achievable.
    • Hold team accountable to the agreed upon plan that was imported at kick-off and ensure it is executed as awarded, approved, and released.
    • Chase completions of work orders in Drafting to hold critical dates
    • Using work orders ensure all materials and hardware are accounted for using the provided Pull List and Production Drawings. Ensure employees are qualified for the jobs assigned - JSAs, certifications, skill level.
    • Chase and push the team from start to finish.
    • Leverage the scheduled elements of requirement for a successful overall project, built correctly, on time and in budget, and while keeping the company’s best interest in mind always.
    • Review resource assignment for shop supervisors and oversee proper assignment through resource roster as written for the labor force.
  • Ensure all employees reporting to work on the shop floor do so with intent, assignment, and supervision as required.
  • Assist with Site Review scheduling and instructionals
  • Maintain reporting status of all work in process along with capacity using current administrators and supervisors with systems and reporting in effect – work order tool and schedule.
  • Oversee team accountability of and be directly involved with quality control. Utilize stamps, green, yellow and red QC stickers as intended on each and every product so as to eliminate wasteful resource application on faulty product.
  • Accept responsibility with supervisors for quality and completeness for all finished components passing through the shop
  • Work with Supply Chain on BIN locations and labeling to leverage all workers
  • Carry out overhead related activities where required such as training, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Assign and maintain shop shut down procedures.
  • Follow Raydeo SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) throughout Raydeo Enterprises
  • Foster a climate of continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure all employees always use proper PPE.
  • Raise safety and labor issues within and outside of the shop. Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
  • Adhere to the chain of command when addressing issues. Issues from your supervisors, or their staff should be addressed through you before then involving HR and General Manager for any discrepancies in work orders, HR Software, TSheets, Pull Lists, etc. and direct questions down the right path if the answer is not readily available.

Position Requirements

  • Must be at work on time
  • Pass drug screen in compliance with Georgia Drug Free Workplace Policy.
  • Possess an OSHA 30-hour Manufacturing certification within first 30 calendar days
  • Complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) training on all tools within first 30 calendar days
  • Responsible for a building key and alarm code with the ability to unlock/lock the building and yard.
  • Responsible for holding Supervisors accountable for all tools in their inventories. Tools are assigned inventory cages or kanbans and are labeled with serial numbers for record keeping and tracking.
  • Performs corrective actions as needed for all Shop Employees
  • Verify departments are trained on and using daily clocking procedures and supervisory processes
  • Able to manage up to 7 supervisors (be responsible for your employee’s actions)
  • Recommend, measure, produce ROI and increased productivity assessments for production or installation enhancements for final approval and implementation including maintenance, infrastructure, and training requirements.

Skill Requirements

  • Successful in a high production environment
  • 5+ years or Management experience
  • Read/understand shop drawings
  • Have extensive knowledge of tools used in the shop and measuring devices
  • Must be capable of utilizing Raydeo Specific Software Platforms
  • Follow detailed instructions
  • Must maintain all paperwork assigned and folders/files on all jobs.
  • Understand, follow, and enforce a safe workplace.
  • Capable of completing staff evaluations for Shop Supervisors
  • Knowledge and use of proper material and product handling
