Floor Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of a variety of flooring surfaces in both commercial and residential environments. This role requires hands-on knowledge of professional floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, and general janitorial duties.

The Floor Technician must be able to work independently, follow established procedures, and ensure high-quality results while meeting safety and cleanliness standards. Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping and wax
• Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Buff and polish hard surface floors to maintain their shine and longevity.
• Inspect floors regularly to identify areas needing repair or additional cleaning.
• Utilize proper cleaning supplies and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other custodial staff to complete larger cleaning projects efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or floor care roles preferred
• Working knowledge of floor care techniques, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and carpet cleaning
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and environmental services is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment and materials and stand, walk, or bend for extended periods
• Ability to safely operate floor care equipment and follow safety procedures
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
