Floor Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our dynamic cleaning and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of commercial spaces by performing a variety of flooring and custodial tasks. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and scrubbing to remove dirt, stains, and debris.
• Conduct carpet cleaning procedures including vacuuming, spot removal, and deep cleaning with specialized equipment to maintain fresh and professional-looking carpets.
• Apply buffing, polishing, and waxing techniques to restore shine and protect various flooring surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas by dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfection in accordance with safety standards.
• Operate janitorial equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to environmental services best practices.
• Monitor supplies and notify management when stock levels are low; assist with inventory management for cleaning materials.
• Follow established safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services, with a strong focus on floor care and maintenance.
• Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, buffing, waxing, and environmental services procedures.
• Ability to operate janitorial equipment such as floor buffers, extractors, vacuums, and scrubbers safely.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Strong physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues effectively.
• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
