Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Flooring Installation Technician to lead our floor repair and installation phase of restoration projects. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in various flooring types and possess a strong background in general finish work to transition seamlessly between trades.

This role requires expertise in floor prep, installation, and repair, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency on all job sites following mitigation work. Previous experience in the restoration industry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Primary Focus: Flooring Installation: Expertly measure, prep, and install multiple flooring types, including Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP), sheet vinyl, engineered/solid hardwood, and carpet.
• Tile Installation (Major Plus): Ability to install ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile is highly desirable and preferred.
• Finish Carpentry & Repairs (Plus): Perform high-quality finish carpentry, drywall installation, texturing (mudding), and minor wall repairs.
• Paint Preparation (Plus): Execute professional interior painting to complete project finishes.
• Basic Utility Skills (Plus): Safely and effectively perform basic electrical tasks (e.g., replacing outlets, switches) and basic plumbing tasks (e.g., setting a new vanity, installing p-traps/faucets) where required for the final install.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for flooring installation tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in installing the core flooring types listed (LVP, Vinyl, Hardwood, Carpet).
• Versatility: Demonstrated proficiency in finish carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.
• Technical Skill: Experience performing basic electrical and plumbing tasks related to fixture installation is highly desirable.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, bend, and perform manual labor in various environments.
• Professionalism: Proven problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Required: Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.

Compensation & Benefits

Wages: Competitive pay ranging from $26.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
