FLORAL DESIGN MANAGER

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Floral Design Manager to lead our floral department. This role involves overseeing the design and creation of floral arrangements, managing daily operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for floral artistry, and a comprehensive understanding of retail floral sales.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate the floral design team to create innovative arrangements for various occasions including weddings, and events.
• Manage daily floral department operations, including inventory control, flower processing, and maintaining product quality
• Oversee customer service interactions, providing expert advice on floral selections.
• Handle retail sales transactions using POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain knowledge of current floral trends and being able to maintain and update an on trend social media presence.
• Assist with e-commerce by updating online product listings and managing digital orders when applicable.
• Train and mentor staff in floral design techniques, customer service excellence, and retail math principles

Skills

• Proven experience in floral design with a strong portfolio showcasing creativity and technical skill in floral artistry
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Proficiency in retail operations including POS systems.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating leadership qualities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week

Work Location: In person
