Floral Designer

Amanda’s Flowers is hiring a talented and dedicated Floral Designer to join our team in Santa Fe. We’re looking for someone with a strong eye for design, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep appreciation for floral artistry. This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and fun. As a Floral Designer, you will create arrangements for daily orders and large-scale events, contribute to a collaborative work environment, and uphold our standards of creativity, quality, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Production
- Create floral arrangements for daily orders, weddings, corporate events, and special occasions
- Select flowers, foliage, and materials with an eye for composition, balance, and seasonal availability
- Ensure all designs align with brand standards and client expectations

Client Collaboration
- Consult with clients on custom orders and event floral needs
- Provide professional design recommendations and manage client expectations
- Deliver polished, high-quality work consistently

Inventory & Product Management
- Monitor and maintain inventory of flowers and supplies
- Ensure floral product is properly conditioned, rotated, and stored for freshness
- Assist with ordering and restocking as needed

Team Support
- Work effectively with fellow designers, delivery staff, and operations team
- Assist with installations, breakdowns, and on-site setups when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in floral design (retail or event-based)
- Strong knowledge of design principles, floral care, and industry trends
- Reliable, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays as needed
- Spanish/English bilingual a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
