We are a family owned and operated florist seeking a creative and detail-oriented Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral arrangements, horticulture, and customer service. This role involves designing beautiful floral displays for various occasions, assisting customers with their selections, and maintaining an organized retail environment. Experience in floral design is highly valued. . The Floral Designer will play a key role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our store while providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Create custom floral arrangements for events, holidays, and everyday occasions using floral design techniques.
• Assist customers in selecting flowers and related products, providing expert advice on floral care and design options.
• Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers by proper handling, watering, and storage.
• Manage inventory levels of flowers, plants, and supplies through stock replenishment and merchandising.
• Operate POS systems for sales transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Support e-commerce operations by updating online product listings and processing online orders when applicable.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.

Experience

• Prior experience in floral design is a must.
• Knowledge of retail sales procedures including POS systems, cashiering, stock management, and merchandising is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with retail math for transactions and inventory management.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms is advantageous.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an engaging work environment where creativity meets customer service excellence.
