Floral Designer

Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral artistry, horticulture, and customer service, with the ability to craft beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your floral design skills while contributing to a vibrant retail environment. The Floral Designer will also assist with related tasks such as gardening, landscape maintenance, and stock merchandising to ensure an inviting and well-organized store experience. Responsibilities

• Create stunning floral arrangements for events, holidays, and everyday occasions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail
• Assist customers in selecting flowers and related products, providing excellent customer service and floral advice
• Maintain the appearance of the floral display area through proper stocking, merchandising, and organization
• Support gardening and landscape maintenance tasks as needed to keep outdoor areas attractive and healthy
• Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and organizing floral materials efficiently
• Engage in e-commerce activities such as updating online product listings or managing online orders (if applicable)
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers in English; multilingual skills are a plus
• Uphold safety standards during all operations related to floral arrangement, gardening, and retail activities

Experience

• Previous experience in floral design or horticulture is preferred; formal training or certification in floral design is a plus
• Knowledge of lawn care and landscape maintenance enhances the ability to contribute to outdoor projects
• Experience with retail sales, cashiering, POS systems, and cash handling is desirable
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members effectively
• Familiarity with retail math for inventory management and sales transactions is beneficial
• Multilingual abilities can improve customer interactions and team communication
