Floral Designer
LUX Floral & Design is seeking a Floral Designer to join our creative team! This is an exciting opportunity to work within The LUX Group, an organization rooted in hospitality, creativity, and unforgettable event execution. Our Floral Designers play a key role in designing, producing, and installing floral elements for weddings, corporate events, and luxury experiences. This role is both artistic and operational, requiring strong technical floral skills, efficiency in production, and the ability to execute designs with precision and care.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and finds fulfillment in seeing their designs transform spaces and guest experiences.
Weekend and some evening availability is required based on event schedules.
- Design and produce floral arrangements aligned with LUX Floral & Design standards and client vision, including centerpieces, personal flowers, large-scale installations, and custom pieces
- Process flowers upon arrival, including proper hydration, cleaning, and storage to ensure quality and longevity
- Execute high-volume floral production while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and design integrity
- Work with a variety of floral styles and mechanics, including foam-free techniques and large-scale installations
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces throughout production
- Assist with on-site floral installations, including arches, hanging installations, tablescapes, and statement pieces
- Safely load, transport, install, and strike floral elements at venues
- Represent LUX professionally while on-site, maintaining hospitality standards with clients and vendor partners
- Assist in post-event strike and proper return of inventory, vessels, and tools
- Prepare containers, mechanics, and materials in advance of production
- Communicate product shortages, quality concerns, or design challenges to leadership proactively
- Assist with floral counts, recipe preparation, and prep list.
- Work collaboratively with the floral team, event producers, and logistics teams to execute events seamlessly
- Take ownership of assigned projects and production responsibilities
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a florist or floral designer in events, weddings, or retail production
- Experience processing flowers and preparing product for production
- Ability to execute high-volume production while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to clean workspaces
- Ability to work efficiently in time-sensitive environments
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and composure
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Weekend and evening availability based on event needs
