Role Summary

French Florist is seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team. As a Floral Designer at French Florist, you will have the opportunity to work with the most beautiful flowers from all around the world and create breathtaking arrangements that will leave a lasting impression on our customers.

This is an onsite position at our Central Dallas area franchise store.

Workdays consist of designing and creating stunning floral arrangements as well as helping customers with their individual flower needs. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring that our inventory is well-stocked and up-to-date.

Floral Expertise & Design

● Design and produce floral arrangements according to French Florist’s style, recipes, and quality guidelines.

● Ensure all designs match the product photography, brand standards, and exceed client expectations.

● Actively participate in required meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

● Engage in floral production from open to close, ensuring quality, efficiency, and accuracy.

● Assist with maintaining inventory of designer supplies, florals, orchids, tools, water tubes, and supporting materials.

● Track and report floral waste; implement improvements to reduce waste

● Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing design stations, wrap areas, and cooler displays.

● Assist walk-in customers with floral guidance and order placement.

● Collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth communication and problem resolution.

● Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

● Proven floral design experience with product knowledge.

● Experience in floral events, funerals, and weddings

● Demonstrated understanding of inventory management and waste control.

● Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.

● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, physically active environment.

● Professional, customer-centric, team-oriented demeanor.

● Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak floral seasons.

● Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.

Physical Requirements:

● Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

● Must be able to lift and move buckets, boxes, and floral supplies (up to ~40 lbs).

● Comfortable working in coolers (Temperatures 37-42 degrees)

● Frequent use of hands and arms for arranging, cutting, and wrapping.

● Moderate noise level environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week

Experience:

• Floral design: 2 years (Preferred)
