Floral Designer/Customer Service

Experienced Floral Designers Only

Dafferdil Floral Creations is seeking a skilled and dependable Floral Designer to join our team. This is not an entry-level position. Prior professional floral design experience is required.

Important Notice

• Applicants without prior professional floral design experience will not be considered.

Position Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Every other Saturday required
• Holiday availability is required, including extended hours and required Saturday shifts during peak floral holidays (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Design and create high-quality floral arrangements for daily orders, weddings, events, and special occasions
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide knowledgeable design guidance
• Properly condition, care for, and handle fresh flowers and botanicals to ensure quality and longevity
• Prepare and assist with event florals, including on-site setup when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized design workspace and assist with inventory management
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily production needs and deadlines
• Stay current on floral design trends, techniques, and best practices

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

• Minimum of 1–2 years of professional, hands-on floral design experience in a retail or event-based setting
• Ability to independently design floral arrangements from recipe or creative direction
• Strong understanding of color, texture, mechanics, and floral composition
• Knowledge of flower varieties, care requirements, and proper handling techniques
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

• A portfolio of previous floral design work is required. Applicants may submit a portfolio with their application or will be asked to provide one during the initial application review.
• Selected candidates will be invited to an in-person interview, which will include a hands-on floral design skill test.
