Responsibilities:

• Floral Design and Creation:Florists design and create various floral arrangements, including bouquets, centerpieces, and decorations for special occasions, based on customer preferences and event requirements.
• Flower and Supply Procurement:This involves selecting and purchasing high-quality, fresh flowers, as well as related supplies like vases, ribbons, and floral foam.
• Inventory Management:Florists are responsible for managing the inventory of flowers and supplies, ensuring sufficient stock levels, proper storage, and minimizing waste.
• Customer Service:This includes interacting with customers, understanding their needs, providing advice on flower selection and care, and handling orders and payments.
• Shop Maintenance:Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including display areas, storage spaces, and the overall shop environment, is crucial.
• Administrative Tasks:This can include handling phone orders, managing finances, and maintaining records.
• Event Coordination:Florists may be involved in setting up floral decorations for events, coordinating with event planners or clients, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Supervising Staff:Florists may be responsible for training and supervising other staff members, ensuring that they adhere to quality standards and customer service expectations.
• Maintaining Knowledge:Staying up-to-date on the latest floral design trends, flower care techniques, and industry best practices is essential.
