Flow Controller I
Qualifications & Abilities

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

1–4 years of experience in industrial, logistics, or airport operations (BHS experience preferred).

Valid Driving License (preferred/required based on site needs).

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Understanding of conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
-
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
-
Strong communication skills (basic English reading, writing, and speaking).
-
Teamwork and coordination skills.
-
Basic computer literacy.
-
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.
-
Capability to work in operational environments with noise, heat, and continuous movement.
Key Responsibilities
-
Monitor baggage flow across assigned BHS areas and proactively identify potential congestion or irregularities.
-
Clear bag jams safely and efficiently, minimizing system downtime and operational disruption.
-
Respond immediately to system faults, alarms, and operational calls assigned by SCADA or Shift Leaders.
-
Support continuous flow of baggage to avoid short-shipped bags and ensure on-time baggage delivery.
-
Assist in manual handling of bags when required to maintain system continuity.

Maintain continuous communication with SCADA operators and follow instructions accurately.
-
Report all incidents, jams, abnormalities, and delays promptly to the control room.
-
Support SCADA during peak operations by providing real-time field feedback.
-
Ensure no unauthorized actions (e.g., diverting bags, manual interventions) are taken without proper instruction.
-
Strictly follow all safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) when required.
-
Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, or near misses immediately.
-
Ensure compliance with company policies, airport regulations, and HSE standards.
-
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across assigned areas.
-
Conduct regular technical cleaning, including removal of debris, dust, and foreign objects.
-
Actively participate in FOD (Foreign Object Debris) control to ensure a safe operational environment.

Ensure walkways, equipment areas, and conveyor zones are clean and obstruction-free.
-
Assist maintenance technicians during preventive and corrective maintenance activities when required.

Monitor equipment condition and report early signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
-
Accurately report all activities, incidents, and abnormalities to the Shift Leader/ Control Room.

Ensure proper communication during shift handovers, highlighting ongoing issues and pending tasks.

Contribute to operational reports by providing accurate and timely information.
-
Maintain punctuality, discipline, and readiness during shifts.
-
Follow duty allocation and instructions from supervisors without deviation.
-
Be flexible to work in different areas as per operational requirements.
-
Support team members and contribute to overall team performance.
-
Available for extra shifts whenever required.
