Flower Shop Assistant (Female)

Position Summary

The Flower Shop Assistant supports daily shop operations, helps prepare floral arrangements, and provides excellent customer service to ensure a pleasant shopping experience. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet customers and assist them in choosing flowers, bouquets, and gifts.
• Provide product recommendations based on customer needs and occasions.
• Handle customer inquiries in person, by phone, and through messaging apps.

Floral Preparation

• Assist in preparing bouquets, flower arrangements, and gift baskets.
• Trim, water, and maintain fresh flowers and plants.
• Ensure all floral products meet quality and design standards.

Shop Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, workstations, and storage areas.
• Monitor flower inventory, restock supplies, and report shortages.
• Process sales transactions and manage cash/point-of-sale operations.
• Package orders carefully for delivery or customer pickup
• Requirements:
• Previous experience in a flower shop or retail environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of flowers and floral arrangements (training can be provided).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work with hands on cutting, trimming, and arranging flowers.
• Physically able to stand for long hours and handle light to medium lifting.
• Organized, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special event days.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: KD200.000 - KD300.000 per month
