At Eni , we are looking for a Fluid Engineer Expert within Petrobel Belayim Co in Cairo, Egypt . You will be responsible for developing drilling & completion fluids and cement programs, optimizing the investments and applying the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL) .

Main responsibilities :

  • Identify, formulate and implement the well fluids systems as requested by the relevant programs and operational activities.
  • Identify eventual hazards/risks relevant to the area of competence, evaluate and propose the most suitable mitigation measures together with the operations as well as preparing the waste management program for operational activity.
  • Prepare the detailed Mud/Cement/Well-bore cleanup programs to be included in the approved Well Programs.
  • Promote, define and evaluate the laboratories and RD departments study related to the fluids and waste management optimization.
  • Prepare/revise the technical documentation, including specifications for tendering for products and services relevant to the area of competence.
  • Evaluate the technical offers from tender exercises aimed at the procurement of the materials/service relevant to the area of competence.
  • Participate and evaluate the Fluids and Waste management technical part call for Tender.
  • Be the relevant Service Contractors reference point to ensure quality services in terms of time, cost and quality related to Cementing, Drilling, Completion fluids and waste management.
  • Monitor the operational fluids service performance, in terms of planned and final cost for Fluids and Waste management together with the operations fluid & waste superintendent.
  • Evaluate the actual results vs. planned to identify improvements applicable to future activities.
  • Provide data and analyses for statistical purposes, lab research and feedback to be accounted for contractual purposes.
  • Prepare the fluids related section of the End of Activity reports, in cooperation with the senior fluid & cement coordinator
  • Assisting rig site operations for specific jobs
  • Participating as a member of the emergency task force in event of blow-out of other major emergencies


Skills and experience required :

  • Degree or diploma in an engineering/technical discipline;
  • Oil & Gas drilling/completion/fluid experience in supervisory roles
  • Drilling Activities: Drilling Operations, Horizontal Drilling, Drilling Fluids & Cement, Cement Operations Design, Well drilling experience
  • Completion Activities: Completion activity and workover operation, Well Testing (Oil), Well Testing (Gas), Gravel Pack, Gas Lift, Submersible Pumps, Dual
  • Completion, Perforating Technique, Completion and workover experience
  • Advanced Drilling: Lean Profile, Underbalance Drilling, Coil Tubing Drilling, Managed Pressure Drilling
  • Advanced Completion-WO-Rigless: Intelligent Completions
  • High Profile Drilling: Extended Reach Drilling, Hp/Ht Drilling, Simultaneous Drilling, Wellbore Stability/Sand Production/Prediction&Control
  • High Profile Completion-WO-Rigless: Well Stimulation (Acid), Well Stimulation (Frac), Stimulation/Completion/Gravel Pack/Fract. Jobs Fluids Design &
