Supervise and manage the daily operations of the hotel’s engineering department, ensuring all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, etc.) are in optimal working condition.
Lead a team of engineers and technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring they are performed efficiently and up to standard.
Perform regular inspections of the hotel’s infrastructure and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs and upgrades.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure that guest needs and operational requirements are met.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, as well as local building codes.
Oversee and manage preventive maintenance programs for all hotel equipment and systems.
Maintain a schedule for repairs, replacements, and routine maintenance to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
Prepare and manage the engineering department’s budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency in operations.
Monitor and record energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings and sustainability initiatives.
Coordinate and supervise external contractors and vendors for any specialized engineering services or equipment needs.
Provide support for special projects, renovations, and other technical requirements.
Report on department performance, maintenance issues, and other relevant metrics to the management team.
