FMCG Logistics Supervisor – Fleet Operations

Doha, Qatar

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Fleet Operations Supervisor to manage our distribution fleet. This role is essential for ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of goods from our warehouse to retail locations, supporting the overall efficiency of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily fleet operations to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery.
  • Manage drivers, assign routes, and enforce safety and schedule compliance.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy.
  • Keep vehicle documents up to date (registration, insurance, permits, logs).
  • Monitor fuel usage and find ways to reduce costs.
  • Use GPS tracking to monitor vehicle movements and improve route efficiency.
  • Respond to incidents, breakdowns, or delays.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, delivery, and operations teams.
  • Manage third-party vendors for vehicle servicing and rentals.
  • Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, fuel usage, and costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in fleet or logistics supervision, preferably in FMCG.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with GPS tracking and fleet management systems.
  • Good knowledge of transport regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
