FMS Line Operator – Salvagnini S4 + P4

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated FMS Line Operator to run and oversee the operations of our Salvagnini S4 + P4 Flexible Manufacturing System. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining the automated punching and panel bending system to ensure high productivity, precision, and quality in sheet metal fabrication

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Salvagnini S4 punching machine and P4 panel bender within the FMS line.
• Interpret technical drawings, nesting layouts, and production orders.
• Perform machine set-ups, tool changes, and parameter adjustments as required.
• Monitor machine performance, production quality, and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform first-piece inspections and periodic quality checks.
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues and escalate major breakdowns to maintenance.
• Ensure efficient flow of materials, sheet loading/unloading, and finished product handling.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, perform daily checks, and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company HSE policies.
• Collaborate with production planning, quality control, and maintenance teams to meet production targets.
• Document production data, downtime, and report operational issues to supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical diploma or equivalent in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Mechatronics.
• Prior experience (2–5 years) in CNC sheet metal machinery (experience with Salvagnini systems is a strong advantage).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM nesting software (experience with Salvagnini programming tools is a plus).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer literacy (production reporting, machine HMI systems).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to quality, precision, and safety standards.
