FMS Line Programmer – Salvagnini S4 + P4

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Programmer to support our Salvagnini S4 punching + P4 panel bending Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS). The candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs, integrating design files, and ensuring seamless operation of the FMS line. The role requires expertise in SolidWorks and Salvagnini’s proprietary software platforms (STREAM, FACE), with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for the Salvagnini S4 + P4 FMS line.
• Translate SolidWorks 3D models and 2D drawings into manufacturing programs.
• Work with STREAM and FACE software to configure part geometries, nesting layouts, and production sequences.
• Ensure efficient material utilization and cycle time optimization.
• Provide technical support to operators for program setup and troubleshooting.
• Validate programs through simulation and test runs to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain program libraries, version control, and documentation for future reference.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to align programming with project requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to operators on program usage and best practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce errors.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3–5 years’ experience in sheet metal CNC programming (experience with Salvagnini FMS strongly preferred).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, drafting, sheet metal module).
• Hands-on experience with Salvagnini STREAM and FACE software.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes: punching, bending, forming, nesting.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM workflow and CNC G-code fundamentals.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
