Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Educational requirements: Graduation from an accredited community college or associate degree in business administration, administrative assistant, legal assistant, or a related field is required. Equivalent work history in a related field may also be considered.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Friend of the Court experience or awareness of family law functions is preferred.
• Ability to pass a background and security check.
• Answers phones in a professional manner and obtains information necessary to answer questions or to communicate the question to supervisor.
• Works effectively with the public, clients, court staff, and all employees.
• Responsible for maintaining SMILE packets and conducting SMILE enforcement.
• Responsible for managing exhibits submitted for hearings.
• Responsible for possessing knowledge of the Circuit Court/Family Court process.
• Responsible for making sure files are ready for upcoming hearings or mediation appointments.
• Maintain File Rooms and process filing.
• Responsible for processing office mail and conducting mail runs to the Wexford County Courthouse.
• Work with the New Case/Reception/Support Staff specialist.
