Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to foster a welcoming and high-quality dining atmosphere.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Oversee food preparation processes to ensure quality and consistency in service
  • Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Monitor inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Assist in shift management, including opening and closing procedures
  • Conduct staff interviews, participate in hiring decisions, and support team development through ongoing training & development initiatives
  • Oversee restaurant operations during peak hours to ensure smooth workflow
  • Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production and service flow
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food industry management, including roles such as assistant manager or supervisor in quick service, casual dining, or fine dining settings
  • Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety standards
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and supervising staff
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
  • Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management
  • Experience with restaurant management software and operational tools
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy shifts; shift management experience preferred
  • Hospitality or culinary degree is a plus; hospitality management or hotel experience is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and lead staff meetings
