Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to foster a welcoming and high-quality dining atmosphere.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Oversee food preparation processes to ensure quality and consistency in service
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Monitor inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Assist in shift management, including opening and closing procedures
- Conduct staff interviews, participate in hiring decisions, and support team development through ongoing training & development initiatives
- Oversee restaurant operations during peak hours to ensure smooth workflow
- Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production and service flow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food industry management, including roles such as assistant manager or supervisor in quick service, casual dining, or fine dining settings
- Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and supervising staff
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management
- Experience with restaurant management software and operational tools
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy shifts; shift management experience preferred
- Hospitality or culinary degree is a plus; hospitality management or hotel experience is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and lead staff meetings
