Job Purpose:

Responsible for importing spare parts foreign purchasing shipments

Responsible for handling all logistics tasks for importing shipments and follow up them till received at the W/H safely

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create purchase order sent from spare parts foreign purchasing dept on IDIS, access and (MB SAP)
  • Contact forwarders agents with shipping and packing details sent from spare parts foreign purchasing dept by mail to take many shipping offers
  • Calculate and select best and most competitive forwarders offers according to agreed shipping mode with suppliers
  • Prepare shipments insurance; contact suppliers with forwarder agent details and supplying bank details
  • Track bills of lading and follow up commercial documents to be sent from suppliers to our bank
  • Arrange with financial department to stamp commercial documents and transfer shipment payments
  • Follow up with financial dept until receiving stamped documents from them and prepare files to be sent to customs clearance dept
  • Follow up any problems and requirements with clearance dept and work on solving them to speed releasing shipments
  • Adjust claims and send reports to spare parts foreign purchasing dept
  • Revising and analysis shipments costs from financial dept and customs clearance dept
  • Issue monthly purchasing reports and analysis landing costs percentages per every purchasing shipment to evaluate the spare parts foreign purchase orders
  • Follow up suppliers payments to be transferred at their due time
