CITY OF COCOA BEACH JOB DESCRIPTION

PART TIME FOOD & BEVERAGE COCOA BEACH COUNTRY CLUB

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Part-Time Bartender to join our team at the golf course bar and grill. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to members and guests, prepare and serve beverages, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, social atmosphere and takes pride in delivering a top-notch experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol service laws and company policies.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Assist with light food service when needed (snacks, appetizers).
• Monitor guest behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Hours: Part-time; primarily afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Pay: Competitive hourly wage plus tips.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous bartending or food & beverage experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking abilities.
• Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes and mixology basics.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stay in bending, kneeling, or squatting position for periods less than 10 minutes. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force and/or 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are for Medium Work.
