Role OverviewThe Food & Beverages Coordinator is responsible for the efficient management and smooth operation of the IT campus canteen. This role ensures high-quality food services, vendor coordination, hygiene compliance, cost control, and employee satisfaction while aligning with company policies and safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesCanteen Operations:
Oversee daily operations of the campus canteen, pantry, and food service areas
Ensure timely and uninterrupted food service for employees
Monitor food quality, taste, portion size, and presentation
Coordinate menus in consultation with vendors and stakeholders
Vendor & Contract Management:
Manage food courts, catering partners, and beverage suppliers
Monitor vendor performance as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Handle contract renewals, negotiations, and compliance
Address vendor-related issues and ensure corrective actions
Hygiene, Safety & Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Conduct regular hygiene audits and inspections
Ensure compliance with FSSAI guidelines, local municipal norms, and company policies
Coordinate pest control, waste management, and cleanliness activities
Quality Control & Employee Satisfaction:
Collect employee feedback and implement improvements
Resolve food-related complaints promptly and professionally
Conduct periodic taste checks and quality assessments
Inventory & Cost Control:
Monitor inventory levels of food items, consumables, and pantry supplies
Track billing, invoices, and cost control measures
Validate vendor bills and coordinate with finance for payments
Reporting & Coordination:
Prepare MIS reports on canteen operations, costs, and employee feedback
Coordinate with Admin, HR, Facilities, and Security teams
Support company events, meetings, and special food requirements
Educational QualificationBachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field
Experience: 3–6 years of experience in canteen management, corporate F&B operations, or hospitality services
Experience in managing large-volume food services (corporate/IT campus preferred)
Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Vendor and stakeholder management skills
Budgeting and cost control knowledge
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Problem-solving and conflict management skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and basic MIS

May require early morning or extended hours based on operations
