, delivering technical solutions tailored to customer needs. As part of our strategic growth, we are building and expanding our food ingredients distribution business in Turkey.
We are looking for a
resilient, ambitious, and results-driven Area Sales Manager
who thrives in a project-based, solution-oriented sales environment and is motivated to create long-term value rather than transactional sales.
The Area Sales Manager will play a key role in developing Disproquima’s presence in Turkey by driving
project-based sales of value-added food ingredients
. This position requires a strong ability to understand customer formulations, translate technical solutions into commercial value, and manage long sales cycles with persistence and determination.
Key Responsibilities

Project-Based & Solution-Oriented Sales: lead and manage project-based sales processes, from identifying customer needs to proposing tailored ingredient solutions and converting projects into long-term business.

Market & Business Development: develop and execute a sales strategy to grow Disproquima’s market presence, with a focus on value-added ingredients rather than commodity trading.

Customer Relationship Management: build strong, trust-based relationships with customers in dairy (preferred), bakery, confectionery, beverages, meat&savory, and other food sectors.

Supplier & Product Development: work closely with Disproquima’s global product managers to introduce new suppliers and products, ensuring effective market penetration and sustainable growth.

Negotiation & Deal Closure: manage complex commercial negotiations, balancing technical value, pricing, and long-term partnership objectives.

Persistence & Opportunity Follow-Up: demonstrate strong follow-up discipline and resilience in long and challenging sales cycles, maintaining momentum until project conversion.

Market Intelligence: monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer developments to proactively identify new opportunities.

Reporting & CRM Management: maintain accurate records of customer visits, projects, and opportunities in CRM; prepare regular sales forecasts and performance reports.

Representation & Networking: represent Disproquima at industry fairs, technical seminars, and customer events to strengthen brand visibility and market credibility.
Who are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of sales experience in food ingredients, preferably in value-added or specialty ingredients.

Proven experience in project-based and solution-driven sales with long sales cycles.

Dairy sector experience is a strong asset.

Highly ambitious, resilient, and persistent personality with a strong drive to succeed.

Ability to work independently in a growing, entrepreneurial environment.

Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Solid understanding of the Turkish food industry and customer decision-making processes.

Fluency in English and Turkish (written and spoken).
