Job Summary
The F&B Accountant is responsible for controlling, analyzing, and reporting all financial activities related to Food & Beverage operations. The role ensures accurate cost control, inventory management, revenue reconciliation, and compliance with company policies, supporting profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Control & Analysis
- Monitor and analyze food and beverage costs, variances, and margins.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports for management.
- Review recipes, standard yields, and portion controls to ensure cost accuracy.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Supervise inventory counts for food, beverage, and operating supplies.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate variances.
- Monitor receiving, storage, issuing, and wastage procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation for transfers, spoilage, and breakage.
Revenue & Sales Reconciliation
- Reconcile F&B sales with POS reports and accounting records.
- Review discounts, voids, complimentary items, and ensure proper authorization.
- Verify daily revenue postings and support month-end closing.
Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare journal entries related to F&B operations.
- Support monthly financial closing and prepare management reports.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for F&B departments.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal control systems.
- Support internal and external audits related to F&B operations.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in F&B, hospitality, or restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of cost control and inventory management.
- Experience with POS systems and accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills with operations teams.

- Reports to: Finance Manager / Financial Controller
