The Role

The Order Taker is responsible for accurately receiving and processing guest orders within the luxury hotel’s dining establishments. This role involves providing exceptional service, ensuring accurate communication with the culinary team, and enhancing the overall dining experience.


Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Order Management: Take guest orders promptly and accurately, ensuring clarity in communication regarding food and beverage preferences.
  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials, to assist guests with their selections.
  • Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to provide personalized recommendations and address any dietary restrictions or preferences, ensuring a high level of service.
  • Communication with Culinary Team: Relay orders to the culinary team accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
  • Payment Processing: Handle guest payments accurately, including cash and credit transactions, and ensure proper accounting of all sales.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from guests regarding their orders and overall dining experience, communicating any concerns to management promptly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with waitstaff and culinary team members to coordinate service and maintain a seamless dining experience.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations regarding food and beverage service, ensuring a safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Assisting Team Members: Provide support to other team members as needed, including running food, clearing tables, and restocking supplies.
