Food Dispatcher

Job Title: Dispatcher – Diet Food Catering Company
Job Summary:

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and dispatching diet food orders accurately and on time while ensuring full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. The role involves close coordination with the kitchen, delivery team, and quality control to ensure customers receive safe, fresh, and correctly portioned meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, verify, and dispatch daily diet meal orders as per customer schedules
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared according to diet plans and timing
• Ensure correct labeling of meals (name, diet type, date, allergens, and meal time)
• Check food packaging, sealing, and temperature before dispatch
• Monitor dispatch timelines to ensure on-time delivery
• Maintain dispatch records, delivery logs, and route schedules
• Communicate with drivers and delivery staff regarding routes and priorities
• Report any delays, shortages, or quality issues to the supervisor
• Follow company policies, HACCP, and food safety regulations at all times
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the dispatch area

Food Safety Responsibilities:

• Ensure meals are handled and stored at safe temperatures
• Verify compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Prevent cross-contamination during handling and dispatch
• Ensure staff follow personal hygiene and food safety practices
• Support quality control checks before dispatch

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a dispatcher in a catering or food company (diet food preferred)
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Basic computer skills for order tracking and reporting
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Working Conditions:

• Rotational shifts as per production and delivery schedules
• Fast-paced food production and dispatch environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to KD250.000 per month
