Role Purpose

To design, develop, and execute food processing solutions for both solid and liquid food applications (milk, juice, powders, etc.), ensuring process efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The role involves vendor coordination, process flow design, and technical support during proposals and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Design & Development
  • Create process flow diagrams (PFDs) and layouts for food processing lines.
  • Evaluate capacity, size, and suitability of equipment for solid and liquid processing (e.g., milk, juice, fruit pulp, powders).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygienic design standards.
  • Vendor Management & Costing
  • Identify and evaluate suitable vendors for equipment and systems.
  • Obtain competitive quotations, compare technically and commercially, and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms where required.
  • Client Communication & Support
  • Communicate process designs, options, and costing with clients.
  • Provide technical clarification during pre-sales and project execution stages.
  • Support sales team with techno-commercial proposals.
  • Execution Support
  • Work with project teams to ensure the right selection of equipment and systems.
  • Provide input for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Stay updated with the latest food processing technologies and trends.
  • Recommend improvements for cost reduction, efficiency, and better yields.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of food processing technologies for solids and liquids.
  • Ability to design process flow sheets and layouts.
  • Understanding of food safety norms (CIP, HACCP, GMP).
  • Vendor sourcing, technical comparison, and cost analysis.
  • Strong communication skills for client interaction.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Software skills: MS Office, AutoCAD/Visio (for flow diagrams), basic ERP exposure (SAP/Zoho).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Process Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 0–3 years of experience in food/chemical process engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment like pasteurizers, homogenizers, spray dryers, evaporators, blenders, and filling/packing systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹287,808.56 - ₹454,470.98 per year
