Food Production Manager

PRODUCTION MANAGER

COMPENSATION:

$85-$100K

SCHEDULE:

Sunday- Thursday 12pm start time

SUMMARY:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production processes at our seafood distribution plant. This role ensures the efficient and safe processing, packaging, and distribution of high-quality seafood products, while maintaining strict compliance with food safety standards and operational goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage daily production operations to ensure efficient workflow and optimal use of resources.
• Supervise production staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure product consistency and compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to maintain inventory levels and minimize waste.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, FDA, and other relevant seafood industry regulations.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
• Conduct regular safety audits and enforce company safety policies to promote a safe work environment.
• Prepare production reports and present findings to Operations management.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or related experience field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the seafood or food processing industry.
• Flexible schedule to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong knowledge of seafood processing, quality control, and industry regulations.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cold environment with strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
